2013 Nick Joaquin Literary Awards @ Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation
The Philippines Graphic Magazine, the country's leading newsweekly and literary publication under the ALC Group of Companies held the prestigious Nick Joaquin Literary Awards at the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation. It was attended by luminaries from the Philippine literary scene. This year's winners are: Sarge Lacuesta (First); Karlo Antonio Galay David (Second) and Jenny Ortuoste (Third). Distinguished poet and translator Marne Kilates received the first ever Publisher's Choice Poet of the Year award. Joel Pablo Salud is the editor-in-chief of the Philippines Graphic.

Author Joel Pablo Salud recently took the time for some book signing at the Manila International Book Fair held at the SMX in Manila. His first collection of short fiction, The Distance of Rhymes and Other Tragedies, was released in 2013 by the University of Santo Tomas Publishing House.
